III. Guest Speaker City Councilman Allen Clendenin

a) Health update

b) Involved in politics most his life

c) Promoting smart growth

d) Hope that the traditional of PDs will slow down

e) Pushing the expansion of the Streetcar

f) Promote density around transit nodes

g) $1.6 Billion in state money coming to Tampa relating to road and

sidewalk projects

h) No Boards really prepared him for City Council

i) Serve on a Board what is your passion

IV. Internal issues---

a. Treasurer report: Thanks to Pat Wolf has ever we have $4,060.20 in

checking account and Pat has made a deposit of $25 and Stephanie

Poyner has another $10 to deposit. Money will be spent on Fans of Than

January 10th 2024 7pm at 4806 Wisart Blvd. Wellswood Center. A Meet

and Greet.

D Thank you, Pam Carpenter, Kella McCaskill, Bobby Creighton and Mimi

Martinez for volunteering to help FANS of THAN event.

e. Design Exceptions- there is a TEAMS meeting on the November 8th at

530pm, we’ll start the THAN meeting from the ride home.

Stephanie Poyner discussed design exceptions items.

Carroll Ann Bennett provided update. Will send out PowerPoint of the

meeting and encourage all to review and email City staff if you have

questions. Please try to attend next in person meeting.

f. ELECTIONS! Currently we have only one candidate for each position.

V. External Open issues

a) Volunteers needed for City boards- committees- etc.

Committees and Boards City of Tampa

Stephanie Poyner encouraged review of the list of committees and to

volunteer

b) Anything that the attendee would like to discuss

Bobby Creighton presented starting a Public Safety Committee. Please email

him a copy of the proposal. Please keep everyone updated about the events

so neighborhoods can support events, issues and meetings. Carroll Ann

Bennet encourages all to share the Proposal.

Tim Keeports requested the Chief Bercaw to beef up Neighborhood watch

then it would be more effective.

Fran Tate shared about the training for the neighborhood watch helped

Jackson Heights.

Brian Live by UT mentioned how unsafe it is to cross the streets.
