Armory Gardens Civic Association and Neighborhood Watch has over 200 members. In 2010 a few neighbors met under the tent at the Alessi Bakery to form a Neighborhood Watch for our community. From that first meeting of 15 neighbors we began to form a community with common goals. At first our goals were to keep our community safe from that, our meetings evolved into a community that has expanded their goals to being more accommodating for our diverse neighborhood. Community values and the devotion to the preservation and improvement of the Vila Brothers Park have brought us together.

We are a 501c3 non profit organization. Every year we have expanded our membership so that we can all work for the good of the neighborhood. Our primary goal was  the Vila Brothers Park and it has seen positive changes. The Park is set for completion in January 2023. We continue to use fundraisers as a means to improve the neighborhood. There are no membership dues for Armory Gardens, yet we are still able to provide family entertainment in the way of Movie Nights at the Park, Halloween parties and our annual Egg Hunt which gets bigger and bigger every year. With quarterly newsletters, Face Book, and our Webpage, Armory Gardens works to keep our neighbors informed. We are bordered by Kennedy and I275 and Mac Dill and Armenia.

 This beautiful neighborhood is located on Hillsborough Bay.  The defining characteristics are it's mature canopy of oaks, as well as historic Ballast Point Park.  Ballast Point used to be the southernmost station of Tampa's first electric trolley cars in the late 1800's.  It's home to the Tampa Yacht Club and the popular Ballast Point Pier.  The boundaries of the Ballast Point neighborhood are south of Gandy Boulevard, east of MacDill Avenue (including both sides of MacDill Ave), north of MacDill Air Force Base and west of Hillsborough Bay.

Bayshore Gardens was plotted in 1906. Today Bayshore Gardens is truly a neighborhood of diverse housing options. In keeping with the diversity

there remains a true feeling of community. Neighbors take care of the older citizens who have been in their homes since the 1920-30's, who are

now the local historians for the neighborhood. Front porch gatherings are common. The beautiful Fred Ball Park is the cornerstone for the

neighborhood, with swinging benches, a gazebo, a spring fed pond built in 1906, wonderful views of Bayshore Boulevard and Hillsborough Bay;

this 100 year old gem is a lush green oasis.

 The Beach Park Homeowners Association is a volunteer organization of residents, supported by voluntary dues through two levels of participation.
Membership is open to owners of single family residences (detached or townhomes) within the boundaries of Beach Park.  Members can also participate in Security Patrol, where a Tampa Police Officer patrols the neighborhood and performs security checks.

Davis Islands is truly one of the most unique communities in South Tampa. The Islands neighborhood is right outside downtown

Tampa and offers residents and guests a variety of outdoor activities, local shops/eateries and community events to experience.

Davis Islands was created in the 1920's by developer and Tampa native D.P. Davis from two small natural islands formerly

known as Little Grassy Key and Big Grassy Key at the mouth of the Hillsborough River. The land was built up from mud dredged

from the bottom of Tampa Bay and expanded.

Today Davis Islands is a mix of beautiful residential and retail areas all encompassed by parks, green-space and stunning water

views. Davis Islands is the home to Peter O. Knight Airport, Davis Islands Yacht Club, Tampa General Hospital, Sandra

Freedman Tennis Complex and the Roy Jenkins aquatic center. Also on the Islands are the Marjorie Park and Marjorie Park Municipal Yacht Basin. Marjorie Park was donated to the City of Tampa and named by Davis after his wife Marjorie Merritt Davis.

With a canal fully separating a portion of the island from the rest of it, Davis Islands is technically an archipelago, hence the

plural form Islands in its name. Originally, Davis Islands consisted of three islands. However with the construction of the airport, the end of one canal was filled in to make enough land area for a runway, connecting the two largest islands at their

southern ends, thus reducing the island's count to two.

 East Ybor Historic is a neighborhood within the city limits of Tampa, Florida. The ZIP Code serving the neighborhood is 33605.

East Ybor Historic boundaries are roughly I4 to the North, N. 22nd Street to the West, Adamo Drive to the South, and N. 40th

Street to the East.

East Ybor Historic is served by Hillsborough County Public Schools, which serves Hillsborough County. Gary Adult High is located

 Gandy/Sun Bay South is a neighborhood within the city limits of Tampa, Florida. The ZIP Codes serving the neighborhood are

Gandy/Sun Bay South boundaries are roughly W. Gandy Boulevard to the North, Tampa Bay to the West, Interbay Boulevard -

MacDill to Manhattan/W. Everett Avenue/Manhattan to Tampa Bay to the South, and S. MacDill Avenue to the East.

Gandy/Sun Bay South is served by Hillsborough County Public Schools, which serves Hillsborough County. Schools which are

located within the neighborhood are Chiaramonte Elementary, Lanier Elementary, Monroe Middle and Robinson High.

The abundance of large Oak trees, winding streets, very large lots and a wide variety of different types of architectural style homes make Beach Park a unique and desirable neighborhood in South Tampa. Beach Park was developed in the early 1920's on land which was once a mixture of thick Florida tropical brush, Palm trees and Oak forests on the waterfront of Old Tampa Bay. Many of the original Mediterranean style mansions are still enjoyed by our residents throughout this historic, established neighborhood.

North Hyde Park is home to one of Tampa's older neighborhoods. Although historically less noted, it fills a larger portion of the region interconnecting two more renowned areas of Tampa: West Tampa to the north and Hyde Park to the south.

Located just west of Downtown, residents here have the privilege of easy access to its urban amenities as well as to thoroughfares that put many other locales within reach, rather conveniently. Like much of Tampa, the neighborhood is also experiencing transitions. One can see this in the architecture itself. There are older structures such as the sparse brick buildings along Howard Ave, commonly called cigar factories, and there are historic cracker-style homes from the early 1900's throughout the neighborhood. Yet many newer structures are constructed with blocks and perhaps stucco; a popular trend in Florida.

In 2004, however, a set of building guidelines called the West Tampa Overlay (W.T.O.) was adopted. This overlay serves to "…maintain the continuity of structures patterned after and reminiscent of development in West Tampa in the 1920's." Except for the swath south of North A Street (along Kennedy Blvd), North Hyde Park lies almost entirely in this W.T.O. District.

Generally speaking, the colorful mix of a humble, yet industrious people makes this neighborhood meekly vibrant on any given weekday, yet relatively serene on the weekend. It is the hope of residents and civic leaders alike in this area to nurture an environment that supports homesteading here.

Southeast Seminole Heights is composed of many platted subdivisions. At that time these areas were platted, the City of Tampa limits stopped at what was known then as Buffalo Avenue (now Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard) and this area was one of the early suburbs of Tampa.

Southeast Seminole Heights is a charming neighborhood primarily consisting of restored bungalows. In 2003 Southeast Seminole Heights was nationally recognized as Neighborhood of the Year.

Nestled among mighty oaks North of Hillsborough Avenue to Sligh, and from N. 22nd St. to N. 30th, there lies a lovely area of residential homes called Seminole Heights East, a quiet, almost forgotten area that has been in the news lately with the City of Tampa choosing it to locate their offices. 

We were mostly known for the FunLan Drive in, which made news when it was sold, but we also have Tampa General Hospital, The Tax Collector's Office, a Post Office, four churches, Carver Center High School, a Fire Station, Tampa's Emergency Services, multi-family apartments, senior housing, and a cemetery. 

Gracepoint has been here for over 70 years and they operate two senior apartment buildings, The Graham and The Heights. We also have restaurant's, including the fabulous Yummy House and The Caribbean Grill on East Hillsborough.

 The Virginia Park Neighborhood Association is a volunteer organization that serves its members by keeping them informed of issues that may affect our neighborhood, by promoting community engagement & addressing safety issues, and by acting as a liaison between our residents and local government agencies. The VPNA has five board members who are elected by the membership for 2 year terms. Meetings are held to address concerns, provide speakers on a number of topics and to hold elections. Committees are formed as needed to address concerns such as rezoning & variance requests and street & sidewalk safety. Social events are held in the spring and fall at Friendship Park, and are open to all. Any businesses may join the VPNA as a sponsor, and everyone who lives in Virginia Park is welcome and encouraged to join us.  VPNA website 

Wellswood is a neighborhood within the city limits of Tampa, Florida. The ZIP Codes serving the neighborhood are 33603, 33607, 33614.

Wellswood boundaries are roughly W. Hillsborough Avenue to the North, N. Armenia Avenue to the West, W. MLK Jr., Boulevard to the South, and Hillsborough River to the East.

Wellswood is served by Hillsborough County Public Schools, which serves Hillsborough County. Mendenhall Elementary is located within the neighborhood.

 Ybor Heights is bounded by Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd to the North, N. 15th St. to the East, E. 26th Ave to the South, and I-275 to the West. Ybor Heights is the northernmost neighborhood of what was historically considered Ybor City. 

Ybor Heights enjoys a balanced mixture of modern homes, historical bungalows, and commercial businesses, while still maintaining the charm for which Ybor City is known. The neighborhood sits at a vibrant and growing corner of the city, with easy access to public transportation, vibrant night life, the downtown business district, and the unique gastronomic fare of the Heights neighborhoods. Ybor Heights is home to Ragan Park, where residents and visitors alike enjoy the serenity of nature and the many public amenities. Ragan Park Community Center, located in the park, is host to many civic and community events. Rich in history and full of potential, Ybor Heights is a neighborhood on the rise.
